cowboy bash

time out for women

so a little over a week ago i was able to go to time out for women in abq. i haven't posted about it because i forgot to take a camera, and i was waiting to get pictures from my sister-in-law. i got to go with my mother-in-law janna and my sister-in-law jordanne. we had such a good time. it was a nice little break from the kids (especially will who has been so clingy lately.) it was so fun to see some of the old abq friends like erin, tracey, windy, laurel, courtney, dora, val, & valerie anne. i miss you guys! wish there had been more time for chatting. i really enjoyed kenneth cope and cherie call. also mary ellen edmunds was hilarious. it was a lot of fun. thanks jordanne and janna. you guys are the best!

one-eyed willy

will does this look all the time and it just cracks us up. it's his i'm not happy about something look. my sister-in-law finally captured it on film. we call him one-eyed willy. how cute is that!

1. i tend to be a little ocd, i count how many pumps of lotion per leg, arm, etc. i follow the same routine to get ready for bed and ready in morning, i can barely function if i get off. poor kaylee i try and make her do the same when we get ready for school, it's all i can handle if she wants to get dressed before we eat.
2. i love cold cereal, any kind really.
3. i love art, someday i want to take up oil painting. i am lucky enough to get to teach art at kaylee's school every other fri. to the 2nd graders.

family birthday party

here's the loot from andrew's family party. we didn't get to celebrate on tues.

better batter baseball. he has been wanting this for like a year. he was so excited.
no cake for bub. he doesn't like it.... so we do brownies instead! the kids are also getting a trampoline from nannie and poppie for their birthdays. as soon as the side yard is ready! yeah! thanks everyone for a fun night! the fun is not over yet for andrew, he still has his cowboy party on wed. to look forward to. lucky guy!

we usually only do family parties on birthdays, but i got the idea from my sister to do kid parties when they turn 5, 8, 12, and 16. so this will be andrew's first kid party. he is pretty excited for his cowboy party. this is an example of how the invitations turned out. i thought they were pretty cute! his party is next week.

Happy 5th Birthday Bubba!

i can't believe he's 5! crazy how the time seems to fly. bubba is such a good kid, and such a good friend to everyone. happy birthday dude.

silly willy

silly, willy....he is infatuated with hats. always walkin' around wearin' a hat. also poor boy can never keep his pants up. it usually ticks him off until he just takes them off.

poor andrew:(

on monday andrew had to get his immunizations for kindergarten. a whopping total of 5! he was so scared. he has a pretty intense fear of needles (just ask the nurse who gave them to him when he was 2, he kicked her so hard she almost fell over!) i waited for him to be 5 instead of 4 hoping he would handle it better. and i am proud to announce that he was so brave! after the 3rd needle his eyes started to fill up with tears and i said "it's ok to cry andrew".... and so he did. i had a prize waiting for him at home, it was a bunch of captain jack sparrow stuff. he's really into pirates. anyway the next day he was wearing a sparrow tattoo, and i said to him he looked like a pirate. he informed me that he wasn't a pirate nor would he ever be one because, "pirates only eat fish mom, and i like to eat candy". so a little boy he will be!

our trip to nauvoo!

we had the best spring break! we had the wonderful opportunity to go to independence, liberty, far west, nauvoo, and a few other places to work on jeff's family history. it was so educational and interesting to see how the saints lived! man their lives were complicated. we definately gained an appreciation for modern conveniences and for the sacrifices that were made for us. how grateful i am to have to gospel. enjoy the slide show. i thought it was the best way to fit a lot of pictures in!
