t-ball time!

isn't he the cutest t-ball player?
andrew is playing t-ball this summer. he has picked it up really well, and is quite the little slugger. the boy has a serious swing. they have had 2 games, so he has been up to bat 4 times. he has hit it from a pitch all 4 times. he hasn't even had to use the t stand. he is the only one on his team that hasn't had to use the stand at least once. now if we can get him to understand where to throw the ball once he has it:) he is pretty cute.

end of the year maddness

kaylee got an award for citizenship, reading, and ladera spirit. she is an excellent student!
kaylee's country was greece, and they performed a dance at their opening ceremony for their field day. she also was one of the dove releasers. it was really cute.
throwing a bean bag at field day.
racin' with her daddy on field day.
running with her best friend harley. those two are inseparable! best friends forever! so the end of the school year is always maddness. with field trips, class parties, awards assembly, field day, etc. i was at the school this last week, every day except wednesday.

here is the guilty party
here is the mess. the pictures don't do justice. you can't tell how much syrup is in his hair or on the floor. ok, so it might be my own fault this time. i left two little glass bottles of maple syrup within reach of an almost 2 yr. old's hands. he banged the two together over his head and had syrup and broken glass all over his head. it was also all over the carpet, but you can barely tell in the pictures. have you ever tried to clean up maple syrup out of carpet? it is not an easy task, i can tell you.

mother's day tea party

we had a mother's day tea party at kaylee's school. it was cute, they recited poems, served us punch and cookies, gave us flowers and a letter. her letter said that i was as pretty as a princess (thanks kay) and i am smart because i know how to make delicious recipes. (apparently she must not think i am very smart if that was all she could come up with.) look how tall she is compared to some of her classmates!

MS run/walk

every year our elementary school does a 2 mile ms run/walk. kaylee ran it this year in 23:42. that was 2 minutes faster than last year. she did great! we only stopped to walk once. she was a good sport, considering she has a crazy competitive mother. but in the end i think she was happy that i had pushed her and she had done so well. it was a lot of fun, and i am looking forward to running it again next year. thanks kay for putting up with me.

1st PLACE!!!!!

every year our elementary school has an art show. this year we had over 900 entries for the whole school. all of the art is judged by 3 local artists. there are only 6 1st place ribbons given each year, and kaylee was one of them. it is a huge accomplishment. these are her two pieces she entered. the one on the left, flower power was the big winner. way to go kaylee! you must have an amazing art teacher. (that would be me, her mother)

10 Year Celebration

we stayed at this cute bed and breakfast, the Apple Orchard Inn, friday night
isn't it a cute place? this is the front of the main house.
the cute couple! 10 whole years together, and still in love.
this was our little cabin. it's called the liberty. it was really cute and comfy.
another shot of our cabin, and my cute hubby! so we stayed here (in durango, co) friday night. the next day we went and had a couple's massage. that was a first for both of us. we were a little nervous (about being naked) but we really enjoyed it. the hour went way too fast! we had a great time, and then we had to return to reality. we had wanted to go to hawaii for our ten year, but it didn't work out this year. we will probably get to go next year, maybe for christmas with the whole family. thanks for a great weekend jeffy!
