albuquerque zoo

will loved the sea lions! we were there for feeding time and the kids loved it.

look at that monkey in the tree!

andrew hamming it up for the camera as usual.

will wanted to touch the peacok so bad! it would get so close, he could hardly contain himself.

andrew's favorite part by far was the water fountain part. he was drenched by the end.

while we were in abq for kaylee's surgery we took the kids to the zoo. we had such a fun time. andrew especially enjoyed the outing. he was only 2 the last time we went, so in a lot of ways it was like his first time. poor will slept through half of it, he had a really bad allergic reaction to something, so we gave him med. that ended up knocking him out. but when he was awake he loved it.

eye surgery!

here kaylee is getting ready to head off for her accomodative estropia (strabismus) surgery. basically they cut the inner eye muscle and tightened it and then resewed it back together. she was so brave. i was the one crying when they wheeled her off. her surgery was on monday the 23rd of june. it took about 45 minutes. we got to go back to the hotel after she woke up from the anestesia, which took a little longer than i expected. i was very anxious to get back there with her. she couldn't open her eyes, and they were really puffy and swollen. she was in a little pain, but was so tired she slept most of the rest of the day.
here she is 2 days later, she still has one eye that won't open, but she is feeling much better. as of right now, it looks like the surgery was a success, and she will be out of glasses. even before surgery, she actually had 20/20 vision. there was just a problem with the brain telling the eye to turn off basically. so, the surgery was to try and straighten out the eye. we go back in 6 weeks. it's hard to tell yet, because she can barely open her eyes. but the dr. thinks it looks great! yeah! we are hoping for no glasses! you can't tell from the picture, but her poor little eyes are really red!

happy father's day jeffy!

jeff, we hope that you have a great father's day! thanks for being the funniest and funnest dad around. andrew's favorite thing about his dad is that "he likes to play with me, and he is funny to be around." kaylee's favorite thing about her dad is "when he tucks me in bed at night and has good talks with me". will's favorite thing is to work in the yard with his daddy. even when jeff is at work, will stands at the back door screaming for his daddy (who he thinks is in the back yard, cause he is most of the time

scorpion tennis camp

kaylee and her cousin hailie got to go to one of our high school tennis camps here in farmington. they loved it! the coach, pat mcgrath, is so much fun with girls. we are lucky enough to have a neighbor with a tennis court, and pat will be giving 8 little girls tennis lessons MTW's for the next month and a half at their house. she should be a pro by the end of the summer. the best part is that i don't have to drive anywhere! yeah!
